Carolyn Waterstradt, MA, LMSW CAADC, CTS
Life can be difficult to navigate at times but it does not have to stay that way. Carolyn is a strengths-based therapist who utilizes a variety of holistic approaches best suited to meet individual client need. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker, a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, a Certified Trauma Specialist, and holds a Trauma-Informed Art Therapy Certificate and a Master of Arts in Theology. She also has training in Eastern therapeutic practices and dream therapy.
Carolyn enjoys working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use and addiction, anger management, spiritual angst, gender identity, life crisis, and relationship problems. Although talk therapy is often beneficial, sometimes there are no words for pain or emptiness. If this is the case, expressive arts therapy, dream therapy or Eastern therapeutic practices may help to release pain, promoting wholeness.
In addition to her clinical work, Carolyn is employed as an adjunct professor at Grand Valley State University and has authored a book based on her research with survivors of clergy sexual assault.
