Deanne Briggs, LPC, CAADC

Deanne Briggs joined Pine Rest in April 2017. She has worked in mental health and substance abuse treatment since 2002. She started volunteering at a detox unit while attending graduate school at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where she earned her MA in transpersonal counseling psychology and art therapy in 2004. She has worn various  professional hats including:  a middle school counselor, detox counselor, substance abuse group therapist, outpatient IDDT therapist and supervisor, and prior to joining Pine Rest, an ACT supervisor. She has a LPC in both Colorado and Michigan, earned a CACIII (certified addiction counselor level 3) in Colorado, and is a CAADC in Michigan. Her favorite approaches in work include mindfulness practices, process art therapy, CBT, and motivational interviewing. Outside of work, Deanne enjoys reading, running, yoga, meditation, and most of all, spending time with her family, including her retired therapy dog, Sahara.
