Joel Jin, MA, Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist
Joel Jin, MA received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Neuroscience, and Behavior from McMaster University. He earned his Master of Arts in Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he is also completing his Master of Arts in Theology and Ministry.
Joel has worked with a diversity of persons with a range of emotional, social and behavioral difficulties. His areas of interest include, but are not limited to, depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, parent-child relationship difficulties, school and academic challenges, executive functioning impairments, spirituality and religious issues, and cultural concerns.
He received training in psychotherapy and psychological testing at community mental health clinics, group private practices, and a psychiatric hospital.
His treatment is informed by research in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), short-term dynamic psychotherapies, and attachment theory.
