Karen Cleveland, PhD, Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Cleveland has been with Pine Rest since 2007 and currently provides outpatient therapy and psychological testing services at the Pella Clinic. She completed her undergraduate work at Central College and received a MA in Theology and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Dr. Cleveland completed an APA-accredited clinical internship at Pine Rest in Grand Rapids, MI, working in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Cleveland serves people of all ages struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, relational or family conflict, spiritual issues, unresolved grief, behavior problems, or adjustment disorders. Her research interests include adolescent spirituality, youth ministry and missions. She also offers community education on a variety of mental health care topics including parenting skills, dating and relationships, and healthy boundaries.
