Krista Anderson, PhD
Krista is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked full time at Pine Rest since 1999. She received her BA in Psychology from Albion College in 1991 and went on to obtain her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology in 1994 and 1997 respectively from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed a one year clinical internship at the Cleveland Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 1996/1997 and then continued her training doing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Mood and Anxiety Disorders at the University of Michigan from 1997-1999.
She enjoys working with males and females age 12 and up, but much of her caseload is adolescent girls and women struggling with anxiety, mood or eating disorders, as well as relationship, grief, and self esteem issues. Other areas of expertise for Krista include coping with medical issues, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), divorce struggles, gender dysphoria issues, codependency, self harm, and stress management. Krista is a LGBTQ friendly therapist.
