Ria Nieboer, LMSW, CAADC
Ria is a fully licensed Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor who specializes in recovery for survivors of childhood and adulthood trauma/violence, suicide, substance use and addiction, vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue for people in a helping profession.
Ria has received various specialized training in trauma and addiction recovery, and is registered as a Star Behavioral Health provider with military sensitivity. She believes in recovery and each person’s worth and ability to change for the positives. Her style is collaborative, authentic, energetic and welcoming.
Ria is an Army mom, yoga educator (E-RYT 200), Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist (ADS), and she enjoys serving at a local church in a worship team and as middle school Sunday school teacher.
Ria completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Western Michigan University and her bachelor’s degrees in International Studies and Russian at Miami University, Ohio. She has lived in Japan and Russia.
