Scott Nuismer, LPC, CAADC

Scott is a licensed professional counselor and a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor. He received his Master’s degree from Colorado Christian University and has worked in the behavioral health field since 2008.

Scott has been helping his clients overcome addictions of all shapes and sizes since 2011 including pornography, codependency, alcohol, and all types of drugs. Scott also has great experience in working with shame, trauma, depression, anxiety, resentments, and self-esteem.

Scott believes it is a great honor to walk beside someone during the painful chapters of their story. Seeing pain transformed into strength and shame traded for freedom is what gives Scott a great love for his career.

Faith Statement

In addition to his clinical experience and training in counseling, Scott also received his Bachelor’s degree from Trinity Christian College where he majored in Church and Ministry Leadership and minored in Theology. During his schooling, Scott completed the Intercultural Missions and Ministry Program which included living in Uganda for 4 months. Scott worked as both a youth pastor and worship pastor for a church in Colorado Springs for several years.

Scott believes counseling from a Christian perspective is an extremely important asset and loves to work with people at any level of faith. He believes that the truth found in scripture and prayer is vital to healing and true peace.
