Weight Loss Program for Long Term Maintenance
Weight control is not just about exercising and changing eating habits. It also involves understanding and managing thoughts and behaviors that can interfere with weight loss. When it comes to changing behavior, especially long-term patterns, getting yourself to do something different, even when you know it’s good for you, depends largely on your thinking.
This 8-week program will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help train your brain to conquer sabotaging thoughts, overcome weight loss obstacles and succeed on any nutritious diet.
CBT can help a person to manage their weight by:
- Helping a person control their diet
- Helping to increase motivation to do exercise
- Provide coping skills to handle any lapses in diet that the person will experience
- Improving a person’s self esteem
- Helping with stress management
- Helping set reasonable goals for both weight loss and maintenance.
The ultimate goal of this program is for you to develop the skills needed to lead your best, healthiest life.
